* Smile design is an aesthetic dentistry treatment in which teeth are specially designed and produced in today's world where digital communication resources and designs are a part of our lives.
* In traditional dentistry treatments, it is generally not possible for patients to predict what kind of tooth shape they will have as a result of the treatment. This may cause the person to have an unpleasant appearance after the teeth are placed as a result of the treatment, not being able to warm up to the teeth, and therefore unhappiness.
* In smile design, the result to be obtained in the digital environment is first designed with a special computer software, using the person's facial photographs and inside-mouth photographs. During the design phase, many different parameters such as facial form, midline, pupils, lip line, and the amount of gum exposure when smiling are evaluated and the tooth type selection phase begins.
Here, dental forms selected according to the person's character traits and face type are combined with photographs in the virtual environment and first shown to the patient for confirmation. If this appearance is satisfactory, we move on to the confirmation phase of how the same appearance will look in the mouth.
* The dental appearance that the patient likes is produced from a temporary dental material as a template and the teeth are cut, etc. It is applied without any action. The satisfaction of the current design's appearance in the mouth is also checked. With these temporary aids, the person can continue his life for up to 1 week and evaluate the comments from those around him. Necessary corrections and changes in dental forms, if any, are made in line with the person's requests. If the process, which is a kind of test drive with these temporary ones, is satisfactory, the production of real restorations begins.
* As a result of the exact production of the teeth with glass ceramic or zirconium laminates or crowns, taking the existing temporary tooth sizes and shapes as a reference, a design is applied to the mouth, in which the patient confirms the result from the beginning to the end and provides satisfactory aesthetics.
