Dr. Hill 100% changed my life. As a young person who has struggled for years with large breasts I’ve always dreamed of having a reduction done, though I never thought it would happen. I asked another dr in Lexington that I know personally and said I was looking into having this surgery, who is the best of the best of the BEST surgeon? And she told me Dr. Hill and his office. From the first appointment with him I couldn’t be happier. Such a kind doctor and amazing office staff. They all understand their patients are coming in with very personal and sensitive things and they completely respect that and are so professional and they maintain your privacy as much as possible, even in an exam. I’m almost a month post op and this whole experience has been wonderful! That office and Dr. Hill will never understand how much they’ve changed my life, and I’ll forever be grateful to all of them. (Sorry this is so long, just wanted to cover all the bases)

Back when we were dating, my husband was referred to Dr. Joseph Hill Jr. to have lipomas removed from his arms in 2013. After we got married, I attended one of his appointments for lipoma removal just to see the process and to test the waters and see if I liked him enough to ask him some questions about some procedures regarding myself. Initially, I asked him questions about eyebrow and eyelid procedures. These weren't things I was serious about having done due to money and due to the fact that they aren't 100% necessary. However, in the midst of my Spanish Inquisition, I casually brought up breast reduction because I'd been living with large breasts since middle school. This is going to speak to MY own ignorance, but I always thought that plastic surgery was always paid for out of pocket and I never thought breast reduction was an option. Dr. Hill was kind enough to explain that breast reduction, depending on the size and whether or not a case fit insurance claims, could be covered by health insurance. I scheduled my own consultation shortly after with absolutely no expectations because I tend to run in to bizarre situations. (Those of you that deal with physicians and health insurance should know what I'm talking about.) I was also very nervous because I felt humiliated by the way my breasts looked and how large they were. I'm not sure which is worse when you're a 30-year-old woman and working with a male doctor on your breasts: an older man or a younger man. Dr. Hill is definitely the latter. It's not that I thought he would be disrespectful at all, but I was just nervous. Anyways, my husband attended the consultation and he described Dr. Hill's approach perfectly. It was as if someone was measuring buildings and figuring out how to improve them. It wasn't awkward at all. Dr. Hill and his nurse worked together quickly, professionally, and sincerely. His office worked tirelessly with me as I dealt with the other physicians I needed to receive written statements from in order to have my health insurance cover the procedure. According to Dr. Hill's office, I was never a burden, even though his staff probably deserves some sort of medal for dealing with a panicky patient afraid that it would all fall through. With the exception of maybe two doctors my entire life, I've never worked with an office where I felt like EVERYONE genuinely wanted me to succeed. I believe Dr. Hill saw the potential for my life to be even better with a breast reduction. My procedure was October of 2017. The day was a huge one for me since it was my first major surgery. Dr. Hill came in and marked up my breasts with no problem. Everyone was so nice to me in the procedure room. Dr. Hill told me he'd see me when I woke up, and I did. He ushered me into recovery and everything went really well from that point on. During the actual recovery process after I went home, Dr. Hill's office was easy to contact in regards to medications and the way I was feeling. My follow-up appointments went smoothly. I don't know why I was worried to begin with. I'm reviewing this in February of 2017 in a different state across the country. By this point I've only attended 2 or 3 follow-up appointments and I do plan to return to see Dr. Hill. Yes, all the way across the U.S. I have no interest in ever working with another plastic surgeon unless it is Dr. Hill because of how perfect my breast reduction went. I haven't had a neck, shoulder, or back problem since my breast reduction. I'm able to be more active. My posture has improved and I just feel more capable of doing things in life. I don't feel as tired. Additionally, I feel better about myself. Clothes fit me better. My breasts look wonderful. I'm just happier, and I couldn't have reached this level without Dr. Hill's talent and his passion to help his patients. My breast reduction is the one thing I will never regret. People might think I'm being melodramatic when I say this, but I really don't care: Dr. Hill changed my life and he saved my life. That's the truth. Give him the chance to do the same for you.
