Understanding Modern Liposuction Techniques

Liposuction offers an advanced solution for individuals struggling with stubborn fat deposits that resist traditional diet and exercise methods. Dr. Scott Brenman specializes in precision body contouring techniques that help patients achieve their aesthetic goals through targeted fat removal.

How Liposuction Works

Modern liposuction involves strategically removing unwanted fat cells through minimally invasive surgical techniques. By inserting a specialized cannula into specific treatment areas, Dr. Brenman can precisely sculpt and reshape body contours, providing patients with a more refined silhouette.

Ideal Candidates for Liposuction

The most successful liposuction candidates typically share these characteristics:

  • Near their ideal body weight
  • Possess realistic aesthetic expectations
  • Have localized fat deposits resistant to diet and exercise
  • Non-smokers with good overall health

Surgical Procedure Overview

Liposuction is performed under either general or twilight anesthesia, depending on patient needs and Dr. Brenman's professional assessment. The procedure involves carefully planned incisions, precise fat removal, and strategic body contouring to achieve optimal aesthetic results.

Recovery and Results

Patients can expect an outpatient procedure with manageable recovery time. Initial swelling and bruising typically subside within two weeks, with final results becoming progressively more apparent over several months. Most patients return to work within one week, with full recovery occurring in 2-3 weeks.

Long-Term Body Contouring Benefits

Since the body stops producing new fat cells after puberty, liposuction provides permanent fat removal from treated areas. However, remaining fat cells can still expand, making continued healthy lifestyle maintenance crucial for preserving surgical results.

He is not a FACIAL plastic surgeon! Go somewhere else! Unfortunately, I learned the hard way. For someone who saves thousands of dollars to get a procedure later in life that they’ve wanted and the outcome was FAR from desirable is beyond disappointing. The outcome wasn’t even at all what we talked about. His office computer equipment is outdated; the picture on his website is exaggerative and fabricated. He took black-and-white pictures of me and they were all pixilated, they were not at all those colorful great pictures you see on his website with him smiling showing the patient the before and after. But during my initial appointment he said that the pictures may look a little weird, but it is state of the art equipment and technology!!! MORE LIES FROM DOCTOR SCOTT BRENNAN!! Abington Surgical Center was just as awful, the main nurse Jackie rushed me out after the procedure, WALKED me out, and I was completely aware and awake and passed the anesthesiologist and wanted to ask him a question, he was in a room to the left as I was walking out, he was very nice and welcomed my question, it was about a medication that I wanted to see if interacted with the anastasia. Jackie pulled me away so quickly and was so awful and brought me outside. I should have said something and reported her. It was atrocious! So, normally you have a splint on your nose for. 6-7 days. Dr. Brennan insisted that it get taken off my nose in only 4! I went in for the procedure on a Tuesday morning and he said that I needed to come back on Saturday to get it off! I said it’s usually a week. He looked very surprised & said well you can get white heads if you don’t. I called the office to double check and Gina, who is just as awful, said “well he’s coming in just for you to take it off” So fast forward a few days after the procedure, I showed up to get it off, and the whole waiting room was full of patients!!! Obviously it was just not coming in for me! It was prob a convenience thing for him! He took the splint off, jiggling it hard and it really hurt! The dorsal hump was Not down and it looked like it barley even changed! I showed up for my one week and two months follow up ( at that time, at that time, he said if the results continue to look like that, no charge, he will fix it but need to wait a year) and nothing changed and then I stopped because they were not responding to me about their results! Yes, I know the Swelling is expected, but its been 3 years and looks like the crappiest job, the before and after pics are clearly unnoticeable! The “doctor” is either unskilled, uneducated, or did a crappy job on purpose so I’d pay more $$ to have him fix it! I called the office and emailed on multiple occasions and Gina never responded! NOT ONE RESPONSE! And it was confirmed my messages were received and read! She was sure quick to respond before the surgery and upon taking my money. When he finally responded, after 20 attempts to contact them and telling them that due to negligence I will be escalating the issue, then they finally responded! They also both lied about not receiving emails or voicemails! He attitude was poor, he took absolutely ZERO liability and accountability for his unprofessional results, and was dry and unfriendly! He didn’t even remember that he told me he would fix it, he was trying to charge me more money to fix it!! And then, when I reminded him a couple times that he told me he would fix it at no cost, since it was done professionally and unskilled the first time, he appeared to get irritated with no recollection that he told me that, but then agreed to fix it but at that point I didn’t even feel comfortable with him, and under his care! My nose is still tender on the bridge to this day! And I have to look at it every day to remind me of the poor choice I made to have this doctor perform this surgery. This doctor and practice is flawed! I am so envious when I see good results from other docs, and people tell me they went to Hove and all of the services they received and wonderful communication after the procedure!
