Understanding Labiaplasty in San Diego

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure designed to address enlarged, asymmetrical, or irregular labia through precise tissue reshaping. Women across San Diego seek this procedure to improve comfort, aesthetics, and overall intimate wellness.

Why Choose Labiaplasty?

  • Reduce physical discomfort during activities
  • Alleviate friction and chafing
  • Improve clothing comfort
  • Enhance personal confidence

Surgical Techniques

Dr. Gallus offers two primary labiaplasty techniques: the wedge and trim methods. Each approach is carefully selected to match your unique anatomical needs and aesthetic goals.

Procedure Details

Performed under local or general anesthesia, labiaplasty involves strategic tissue removal and precise suturing to create a balanced, natural appearance. The procedure typically takes 1-2 hours and offers long-lasting results.

Recovery and Expectations

Most patients return to work within 4-7 days, with complete healing occurring over 4-6 weeks. Dr. Gallus provides comprehensive post-operative guidance to ensure optimal recovery.

Candidacy and Considerations

Ideal candidates are healthy, non-smokers experiencing physical discomfort or aesthetic concerns related to labial anatomy. A personalized consultation will determine your specific treatment plan.

Safety and Expertise

As a board-certified plastic surgeon with extensive experience, Dr. Katerina Gallus prioritizes patient safety and delivers natural, compassionate results in her San Diego practice.

Cost Considerations

Labiaplasty is typically considered a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by insurance. Financing options are available to make the treatment more accessible.

My wife’s chin was beautiful even after the first few days. This is a professionally run first class surgical operation. They’ve accounted for every contingency. Dr. Gillis made herself available 24 seven for my wife’s questions. Special compliments to Ava, Ila, Rachel, and Cynthia,

I can’t say enough great things about Restore! I first connected with Dr. Chao for an ear lobe repair. I’m only 6 weeks post-op and they are healing to perfection. I am so thankful to her and the team for making the process easy, painless, and supportive. Dr. Chao even texted me later that day after the procedure to check in, which I thought was so sweet. Next, I received a Diamond Glow facial with Cinthia and I am beyond happy! My skin feels so fresh and clean. So thankful to the Restore team and would recommend them for all your beauty needs.

i came to sd restore for a consultation with dr. gallus last august. she was extremely unprofessional and asked me a very inappropriate question. she giggled while asking me if i was part of the adult video industry(p^rn) because she thought that was why i was inquiring about a specific surgery. that question made me extremely uncomfortable and i almost wanted to cry. after this, i left her a 1 star review with no explanation so she called me and acted confused as to why i did that and when i told her, she tried to change her words and say she was implying that i was a model which is completely untrue because i remember her exact words very clearly and those were not it. dr. gallus then apologized repeatedly to me on the phone but it was obvious she only did that because she was hoping that i would take down the 1 star review but i didn’t and i won’t. once she realized the review was staying up, she had her team reply to it a few days later stating her certifications, experience and the number of surgeries she’s performed which doesn’t even matter if she lacks professionalism, empathy and reassurance. i’m updating my review because whenever i think about this consultation, i still get very bothered by it. it took a lot for me to go in there for a consultation and i left feeling disrespected and defeated. it is not ok for a plastic surgeon to ask that type of question and its insulting to me as a person because i would never do anything like that. i think it is very self-degrading so the fact that she felt comfortable enough to ask me that question and thought there was a chance i’d say yes made me feel extremely disrespected and offended. with all that being said, i highly recommend and encourage you all to explore your options and go to other consultations before settling on this surgeon just because she’s a female. i ended up having the surgery elsewhere with a male plastic surgeon and he made me feel way more comfortable than dr. gallus ever did. i have no regrets about seeking the surgery with him i’m so happy with my results and i’m so glad i chose to trust and proceed with him.
