Brow Lift New York by Dr. Steven Pearlman

Eyebrow Rejuvenation New York, NY | Dr. Steven Pearlman

Understanding the Brow Lift Procedure

A brow lift restores a youthful, fresh appearance to the upper face by addressing drooping or furrowed brows. As we age, the forehead can drop, causing hooding of the upper eyelids and altering facial expressions.

Brow Lift Techniques

Dr. Pearlman offers multiple brow lift approaches tailored to individual patient needs:

  • Endoscopic Brow Lift: Minimally invasive technique with 4-5 tiny incisions behind the hairline
  • Temporal Brow Lift: Focuses on raising the tail of the eyebrow
  • Coronal Brow Lift: Traditional method for patients with specific anatomical considerations

Ideal Eyebrow Characteristics

The perfect eyebrow position varies between men and women. For women, an arched brow that peaks above the eye corner creates a youthful appearance. Men typically benefit from a more horizontal brow shape.

Non-Surgical Alternatives

For patients seeking less invasive options, BOTOX Cosmetic can temporarily raise eyebrows by relaxing muscles that pull them downward. Ultherapy offers another non-surgical brow lifting method.

Customized Approach

Dr. Pearlman's philosophy emphasizes individualized treatment. Each brow lift is designed to complement the patient's unique facial features, restoring a natural, rejuvenated appearance.

Candidates for Brow Lift

Patients may benefit from a brow lift as early as their 30s, depending on individual facial aging and concerns such as:

  • Drooping eyebrows
  • Hooded upper eyelids
  • Persistent tired or angry facial expression

Pictures arranged before then after, & so on My only intention is to help prevent someone from making the same mistake I did. I went to Mr. Pearlman for a standard, first time rhinoplasty. First time exploring any real type of cosmetic enhancement. No previous Botox, lip filler, never even had my eyelashes done. I asked him about taking in my nostrils, thinking this was standard. He very casually said I didn’t want to do that then quickly moved on. Never once mentioning “taking in my nostrils” meant cutting into them. Morning of the surgery I’m laying on the gerny when he asks if I’m ready, and if there was anything I wanted him to focus on. Feeling like I had to respond, I reminded him ‘well I was wondering about my nostrils’. Even though he talked me out of this during our initial consultation, my casual answer to his question was enough confirmation for him to go and create irreparable damage. In hindsight all I needed was the bump lightly shaved down. What I didn’t realize at the time was that my nostrils were already very small, in fact ideal. Perfectly symmetrical & beautifully proportionate to my face. Dr. Pearlman was supposed to be the expert in the room. Under no circumstance should he have allowed such an inexperienced patient make such an irreversible decision. My nostrils will never be the same. I’ll never be able to recreate that natural & seamless wave connecting my nose to my face. Will always have incision scars, which is such an obvious sign of having work done. Just look absolutely ridiculous compared to what I originally had. The part of my nose that was actually beautiful dr. Pearlman completely chopped up and ruined. All I got from this experience was a new, and even more unhealthy, obsession in place of a previously unhealthy obsession. Things I didn’t learn until my Revision Consultation: (To be clear this is after our initial consult, morning/ day of surgery, & post op) - Apparently Pearlman implanted some type of artificial tip to the top of my nose to help create that lifted affect. I would never have approved this because of how adamant I was about removing stuff from my nose, not adding anything (like Botox for example.) - Pearlman and I have different definitions of the word “nostrils”. Multiple times he interrupted me to let me know the area I was referring to ‘wasn’t considered my nostrils’. Crazy to think this clarification didn’t come any sooner , preferably before cutting into my face. - According to him the solution to my problem is to simply not take pictures from a certain angle - the angle being directly facing the camera anything shoulder level and below. Basically any angle where you see how my nostrils are connected to my face. - Also according to him “There is no need for me to be upset because” and I quote, “the world will not see what I see.” - Dr. Pearlman Let me know if you see what I see?
