I regret choosing Dr. Andrew McAllister at Coastal Plastic Surgery Institute for my second breast augmentation and mastopexy. My first surgery in 2019 went well, so I trusted him again in 2024. Huge mistake. I specifically requested the same implant style as my previous surgery, just in a larger size. Instead, Dr. McAllister used a completely different implant type without my knowledge or consent. I also agreed to a “lollipop” lift, but he performed a “donut” lift instead, which multiple other board certified surgeons have since told me was the wrong choice for my case. When I voiced my concerns at my post-op appointments, he brushed them off and told me everything would improve with time. It didn’t. He later attempted a revision, which only made things worse. During that revision, he removed what turned out to be a permanent suture without informing me of its purpose. He also injected Kenalog steroid to “fix” the pleading and scarring which left a noticeable blue mark on my skin that lasted over a month. Again, no warning was given about possible discoloration. When I tried to get answers after the in office revision, I was met with evasiveness, defensiveness, and zero accountability. Dr. McAllister was out of the country when I first called with concerns, but when I finally spoke to him a few weeks later, he was more concerned that I sought a second opinion than actually fixing my results. I strongly do not recommend Coastal Plastic Surgery Institute or Dr. McAllister to anyone. If you care about transparency, communication, and actual results, go elsewhere!

Dr. McAllister fixed a horrific surgical scar that left me deformed from an abdominal reconstruction surgery that was 30 years ago. I am 5 weeks post-op and the results are amazing. He is a talented surgeon and a caring person. His staff is professional, attentive and caring too. I highly recommend him. I am a Registered Nurse and was impressed with the care I received.

Dr. Drew McAllister is an excellent surgeon. I’ve been in his office several times and cannot say enough about the excellent care I received from him and his professional staff. He was very attentive to detail and made sure my medical needs were met. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would.
