I highly recommend Dr. Michael Baroody as a plastic surgeon. I’m a physician. And because of this, I am more critical of other physicians as I hold them to a higher standard. Dr. Baroody impressed me on all accounts. In his office, a room I only happened to see once, after about a year, are the diplomas and a few other papers of note: AOA (medical school honorary society) and the fact that he was chosen Chief Resident of his Plastic Surgery training program. That was another earned honor. I first met and started working with Dr. Baroody in 2022 and had laser treatments to the age spots on my face. (In my youth I had been a lifeguard and had years of sun-damage. As an aside, I only wish I’d done it sooner. I had been so very unhappy with years of applying concealer. Now I get compliments on my skin.) I’ve had other procedures as well, with very dutiful follow-up. All in all it’s enough for me to say that I consider Dr. Baroody’s soft-spoken, friendly, gentle demeanor and skills all that I would ever want in a physician and far more than one usually finds in a surgeon. (This is a Google Review. I am not your physician. So this is not 'my' medical advise to 'you.' This was my experience with someone I considered an excellent physician.)

I would not give much weight to the recent 1 star review somebody gave him about their results - from our initial consults he was tactfully realistic with me on what I could expect in terms of results. I only have good things to say about my experience with Dr. Baroody. He has been extremely compassionate, patient and honest with me from my initial consult all the way through post-op care. I’ve asked him way too many silly questions about the process, expectations about results and care instructions and he answers all of them seriously and patiently. In comparing my process with friends that have had work done elsewhere, I noticed he is far more committed to post op care than other surgeons. When I was initially researching options I looked into surgeons in NY, NJ, CT and RI and his work looked the best and most natural. Save your time researching and just pick him! He’s not only a talented surgeon but is also a wonderful human.

I went to Dr. Baroody for a BA/BL. I had my 1st surgery with Dr Baroody July 2024. A breast augmentation and a breast lift. I should have walked out of his office when he waived off (literally waived off) seeing my inspo pictures. I was unhappy by 8-10 week mark after my first procedure. There were size discrepancies, and my breasts were falling into my armpits when I laid down. The pockets were too loose and I had extra skin that was empty because my implants were too small and it’s also possible that enough skin was not originally removed during my breast lift. I then suffered from two post op complications NOT Dr. Baroody’s fault however we decided to take this opportunity since I would be going under Anesthesia again to correct the loose pockets and pick out larger and more cohesive size implants to fill up the empty space in my chest. Dr. Baroody's revision policy does not favor patients and I had to pay him another fee as well as the Anesthesia and facility fees. After my second surgery, I tried not to worry because the R breast that suffered the postop complication was now five times the size of the left. It had gone through more trauma and I thought the swelling would eventually go down and it would match the other breast however, that did not happen. My R breast became extremely saggy and extremely empty. The implant was sitting very low. I had two completely different shape and size breasts. My L one is very square like in shape. I expressed my concerns to Dr. Baroody during multiple post op visits and let him know that I was taking progress pictures and the right breast was not getting any smaller. He then agreed to do an in office procedure that changed nothing!! The day of the procedure, he walked into the room and did not acknowledge me. Did not say hi or good morning and just started opening drawers. I had to initiate contact with him. The in office procedure was completely unnecessary. My breast looked exactly the same. Looking back it definitely seems like he was just trying to shut me up. I returned a couple of weeks later and explained to him that my breasts are still extremely asymmetrical and my nipples/areolas were different sizes and shapes. He said he didn’t see the nipple size difference and they looked “alright”. He also asked me if “my breast were asymmetrical prior to my first surgery ?” This was my final straw with him as it really rubbed me the wrong way because at this point I have already been a patient of his for six months and my breasts were never asymmetrical. He should’ve known this information since he was my only surgeon and should know my medical history. He was trying to gaslight me into thinking that my breasts looking this way or normal or was somehow my fault. After my last visit with Dr. Baroody, I decided to seek out second opinions because at this point, I knew I was going to need another surgery to fix the asymmetry and I no longer trusted him nor trusted his medical advice. I went to two different plastic surgeons, and they both suggested I redo my breast lift completely along with pocket work. One breast had an extremely tight pocket and one has a very big one causing my implant to slide everywhere. Both plastic surgeons pointed out the discrepancies in my nipples/areolas shape and sizes without my having to point it out to them first. When I mentioned it to Dr. Baroody he gaslit me and said that everything looked fine. How could they look fine?! They are completely two different shapes and sizes! Dr. Baroody's demeanor is very robot like and he lacked empathy and the ability to be honest with me about his work. I am now out over $20,000 not including what I now have to pay another surgeon. My mental health is deteriorating. I have no words for the emotional stress, mental stress, and financial stress he has caused me. I’ve cried so much. I look worse right now than I did the first day I saw him. I regret ever walking into his office and trusting him with my medical care.

Dr. Baroody is the number one Dr. for plastic surgery. I will recommend him to everyone that needs to have anything done with their body. Wonderful and Respectful DOCTOR !
